My Position: Within this project, my task was to collect requirements and facilitate communication with the client to grasp their needs. I created mockups for the team to adhere to and conducted quality assurance checks after developers completed their tasks.
Goal: This project was an internal team initiative, not promoted by any clients. We aimed to implement an enhancement within Salesforce, enabling every account to designate a primary contact and facilitating quick identification of said contact by an associate. The objective encompassed updating Salesforce with fields and validations to mandate a primary contact, as well as revising the intake format to ensure easy identification of the primary contact by all stakeholders.
Issues: The challenge arises from associates not favoring the additional steps of adding a primary contact validation. This resistance stemmed from concerns about the additional time required for data entry. However, despite initial reluctance, it was my job to show the associates the benefits of having the validation in place and get them all on board with the process.
Outcome: The outcome of the project was the successful integration of the primacy contact validation feature into Salesforce. This enhancement improved the accessibility and clarity of client's accounts by ensuring each account had a designated primary contact, which streamlined communication and operations for the client and our organization.
