My Position: I collaborated closely with various members of each department to understand their requirements and needs regarding the streamlined onboarding process for their new hires. This involved working with HR personnel to gather the most used titles in each department and then going to the Team leads to inquire about the necessary applications and access required on day one. Additionally, I liaised with the System admin team to ensure the technical feasibility of integrating these applications/ access into the onboarding process. Lastly, I met with each Department Head (C Suite) to get their approval for the access.
Goal: The primary goal of this project was to enhance the onboarding experience for new hires while simultaneously reducing the volume of support tickets related to access issues and resource requests.
Outcome: The outcome of the project was the successful establishment of a streamlined onboarding process for new hires. By guaranteeing prompt access to necessary applications and resources on their first day, we were able to reduce support tickets significantly.
